Heavy Lift Reels

CFS and our facility assisted the timely transshipment of 5 heavy lift reels at approx 250 ton each from the heavy lift vessel MV Atlant Frauke to the specialist offshore construction vessel Rem Etive.

The reels on board the heavy lift vessel had to be transferred to the offshore construction vessel in perfect still conditions with the expert knowledge from OPC to secure the reels on deck for the sea voyage to the project field in Gippsland Basin.

Once at the field the reels containing umbilical cord were laid to connect subsea wells for Anzon Australia. With both vessels combined the day rate was over A$500k and our facility and partners OPC were instrumental in keeping this project on time.
