Wharf Facility & Layout

CFS operate our own wharf terminal within the Port of Melbourne.

Located at South Wharf just down river from the Bolte Bridge, CFS operate from berths 27,28, 29 and 30 South Wharf with the following details :

• Total land area approx 40,000 SQMTRS
• Warehouse areas at sheds 27 and 30 South Wharf - approx 10,500 SQMTRS
• Outside hard stand areas at 27, 28, 29 and 30 South Wharf - approx 30,000 SQMTRS
• Total berth length 420 meters
• Depth at berth 9.4 meters with allowable draft of 8.8 meters (vessels can arrive with deeper draft subject to prior approval)
  - full wharf load charts and other information available on request

CFS can accommodate most break bulk cargoes, project cargoes and bulk shipments as well as specialized rig tender / heavy lift vessels for the oil and gas industry. CFS can also accommodate lay up vessels requiring repairs, maintenance, etc and have a full crew of various trades available at short notice.

CFS can offer all importers, exporters, vessel operators a complete logistics package at our wharf facility from stevedoring, vessel accommodation, storage and distribution, etc.

CFS have an approved Maritime Security Plan issued by the Department Of Transport And Regional Services ( DOTARS ) that covers our wharf facility. We also have full up to date Safety and Environment Management Systems in place to run this facility, copies of our policies are available on request.

All visitors to our facility are required to undertake an on line induction if they have not been inducted before
