Xue Long - Chinese Antarctic Research Vessel

CFS were both vessel agents and facility operator for the Antarctic research vessel Xue Long. The vessel with approx. 300 crew on board sailed from the Antarctic to CFS facility to pick up construction materials for a research base in the Antarctic. All the construction materials were shipped out from Shanghai in containers where they were unpacked, sorted and loaded onto vessel at CFS South Wharf facility for destination Antarctic. The CFS facility was ideally placed to not only transship all cargo from Shanghai in a timely manner but to also facilitate other supplies such as fuel, foodstuffs, etc.
